Mayo Clinic is responding to a new email phishing scam that claims the IRS has sent a document from DocuSign that is ready for review or signature. The phishing email contains a link that leads to a fake website requesting users to submit personal information, including private information that could result in identity theft. Report this and other suspicious emails using the Report Phishing button on your toolbar or by forwarding them to phishing@mayo.edu.
As a reminder, the IRS does not use email, phone calls, text messages or social media to discuss personal tax issues or request personal information.
