  • Member of Emeriti Staff in good standing and currently not an officer of Emeriti Staff Leadership
  • Nominees should demonstrate dedication to Mayo Clinic core values.
    A combination of leadership, innovation, teamwork, and mutual respect with their contributions and service to Emeriti, support staff, and the larger community is expected.
  • Emerita efforts in one or more categories will be evaluated.
    Education activities:    teaching, mentoring, training, etc.
    Academic productivity: editorship, publications, writing books, committees, etc.
    Humanitarian efforts: community, state, national, and/or international.
  • This award does NOT recognize past performance as a voting staff member. It is focused on the individual’s considerable efforts during retirement. 

Submit candidates using the Distinguished Emeritus Form. Submissions must be received before July via email at MCRemeritus@mayo.edu.

Emeriti Association - Rochester Campus

The Emeriti Association - Rochester Campus
represents approximately 650 physicians and administrators retired from Mayo Clinic who reside in the upper midwest full or part-time. Members participate in academic meetings, social events, and selective mentoring opportunities for medical students, residents, fellows and medical staff. Many Emeriti continue to participate in research, consulting, publishing, lecturing, development, and medical practice.

Twin Cities Emeriti Lunch Bunch
Calling themselves the "MELO" group for Mayo Emeriti Lunch Out, they meet the last Monday most months during spring, summer and fall at 11:30 am at Milda's Café 1720 Glenwood Ave, Minneapolis, MN  55405
They are starting their spring season with lunch Monday March 27th.
